Designing a powder room is blissfully stress-free — no hours spent sweating the furniture plan, no endless sourcing of textiles and furniture styles. Rather, the mind is free to have fun, go wild, work outside your comfort zone and use elements you love but don’t want to see everytime you walk in your front door. Play to the dark and moody nature of a windowless powder room and paint it black; take advantage of the diminutive size of the space, and wallpaper the walls; throw extra toilet paper in a basket and opt for a timeless and inexpensive pedestal sink. Do whatever your heart desires, because in a powder room, anything goes.
